1998

Open for Business

Pro Active Refrigeration opens its first office in Ottery, Cape Town and then in 1999, Pro Active Refrigeration absorbs the Company and management of Atlantis Refrigeration.

A New Look

Pro Active Refrigeration adopts its new corporate identity. Pro Active starts Phoenix Racks as a joint venture with Matador.

A New Office for Cape Town

Pro Active Refrigeration Cape Town relocates to bigger premises in Estmil Road, Diep River Industria.

2002

New Branch in Durban

Pro Active Refrigeration opens up a new branch in Durban. First Low temp secondary system in South African supermarket installed at Longbeach PnP Cape Town.

2007

New Learnings

Pro Active sends it's first technicians to SAQCC gas training for certification in safe handling of refrigerants. Pro Active installs it's first Subcritical Cascade system with 134A MT & CO2 LT into Middestad centre, Bellville, Cape Town.

Pro Active launches it's own Green initiative, promoting CO2 installations & designing.

A Sale Completed

Phoenix Racks is sold to Metraclark / Beijer group and becomes SCM South Africa.

A New Leader and First in SA

Merrick Smith appointed MD of Pro Active Refrigeration. Pro Active installs first triple temperature sub-cool racks into Brackenfell PnP hypermarket.
